Palestine Islamic Bank Participates in the Sibos 2025 Conference & Exhibition

The Palestine Islamic Bank took part in the Sibos 2025 Conference and Exhibition, which kicked off on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Frankfurt for four days. The event is organized by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) and is considered a leading annual gathering in the global financial services sector.

Representing the bank at Sibos 2025 were General Manager Dr. Imad Al-Sadi and Assistant General Manager for Planning and Development Asim Al-Masri. The conference hosted hundreds of experts, specialists, executives, and representatives from banks, FinTech companies, payment service providers, artificial intelligence firms, and cybersecurity specialists.

This year, the conference addressed some of the most pressing issues in the global financial sector, including the ideal payments experience, advancing digital transformation through artificial intelligence, the latest FinTech products, cybersecurity, sustainability, financial inclusion, and other key topics.

The bank’s delegation held a series of meetings with representatives from FinTech, payment, and AI companies, as well as correspondent banks and financial institutions. The discussions explored potential areas of cooperation and the possibility of building new partnerships that would contribute to enhancing the bank’s services and products, particularly in digital transformation and the use of AI technologies to provide advanced banking solutions.

Dr. Al-Sadi emphasized that participating in Sibos is of great importance, as it is a distinctive and exceptional annual event. He noted that this participation provides an opportunity to strengthen the bank’s strategic partnerships with other banks, financial institutions and technology companies specializing in digital transformation and artificial intelligence. This, he said, aligns with the Board of Directors’ directives and the bank’s strategy to expand both local and international partnerships, which are vital for improving Islamic banking services for our customers.

He added: “The conference serves as an important platform for networking, exchanging ideas and expertise with leading companies in payment services, digital transformation, and AI, many of which launched new products during the event. This helps ensure the bank stays up to date with these services and incorporates them into its operations, thereby enhancing service quality and meeting customer expectations.”

During the event, SWIFT showcased its most recent updates and their significance in improving the efficiency of services provided to banks and the payment services sector.

The Sibos conference has been organized annually for nearly 50 years, and focuses on addressing the challenges facing the banking and financial industries from a technology and regulatory perspective. It also discusses key developments in banking and financial operations each year and features an exhibition where dozens of companies showcase solutions in digital transformation, FinTech, and AI.
